Prom Advertisers

Are you a business interested in advertising for prom? We are seeking donations for Senior Sponsors through a class advertising campaign. We are looking for any businesses that would be interested in promoting their company through different packages we offer (see table below).

Prom Information

Prom will be held on Saturday, May 19th at the Perot Museum. We will do check in from 7:30-8:30pm, with prom from 8:00pm-11:30pm.

Check-In Information
7:30-8:30pm
You and your guest must have a state-issued picture ID, with date of birth, to check in. Prom tickets are also required for entrance.
No admittance after 8:30pm. 

Cost:

$50 each: April 2-13
$60 each: April 16-27

World's Finest Chocolate will be at school May 2nd and 3rd during advisory and lunch to reward students who sold boxes of chocolate during the chocolate fundraiser. For every box of chocolate a student sold, World's Finest Chocolate will present him/her with $10, for up to the cost spent on prom tickets. World's Finest Chocolate is also offering VIP passes for students selling chocolate boxes. For one box sold, students will receive either a speed pass for the Flipbook Station or early entry to upper floors with food options. With five boxes sold, students can receive an additional VIP pass. Students must show ID and their prom ticket(s) to redeem their cash and VIP passes. Students will ONLY have the opportunity to pick up these items while World's Finest Chocolate is at school; if a student misses the opportunities as outlined above, they will not be presented with another chance.

Food:

Appetizers, desserts, and refreshments will be served at prom, but there will NOT be a full dinner provided, neither in buffet style or sit-down meal style. Students are encouraged to eat a full dinner before arriving.

Tickets and Guests:

MHS Senior class of 2018 students may purchase up to two tickets, one for them and one for their date. Dates must be between the ages of 16-20 (sophomore - 20 years old) on the day of prom to be allowed a ticket and entrance to prom. A current student ID is necessary for purchase of prom ticket(s). For guests, a photocopy of picture ID must be attached or the form will not be accepted. Seniors who graduated early may purchase a ticket. Foreign Exchange students between the ages of 16-20 may purchase a ticket regardless of grade level.

Students must clear outstanding fees with MHS bookkeeper prior to receiving a permission slip. Once permission slip is completed, bring to bookkeeper's office with payment for ticket purchasing. All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. A change in your guest will not be allowed after May 7th. After this date, we will not permit another guest to accompany you.

Prom Attire:
This is a formal event. MISD District Dress Code Policy will be enforced.

Ladies:

  • Dresses should appropriately cover the chest, midriff, and bottom.

  • No plunging necklines.

  • Two-Piece dresses should not show more than 3 inches of midriff.

  • Side cutouts are allowed but the majority of torso should be covered.

  • Side cutouts that extend the length of the torso are not allowed.

  • Short dresses cannot be more than 6 inches above the knee. This includes front, back, and side slits.

  • Dresses with nude mesh used to disguise plunging necklines, side cutouts, etc., must fully cover and conceal those exposed areas.

Gentlemen:

  • Jackets must be worn
  • No jeans

*MHS Administrators on staff at the event will have the authority to deny entrance into Prom if inappropriateness is determined. No refunds will be made.

*Clarification regarding apparel can be pre-approved by Mrs. Priddy and/or Mrs. Martinez prior to event. 

Gold Rush (after-Prom)

Seniors - Gold Rush (after-prom) tickets go on sale March 29-May 11 (by cookie stand on Thursdays and Fridays during lunches).

Cost per person: $50 through April 27; $60 after that!

Gold Rush will take place on Sunday, May 20th from midnight until 5:00a.m. Students must turn in a permission slip in order to purchase tickets. 


Student Facts for Graduation 2017-2018:

  • Graduation Schedule for 2018:
    o Mansfield High School - Friday, May 25 @ 7:00 p.m.

  • Graduation ceremonies will be held at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts (the Center) located at 1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063: http://www.center.mansfieldisd.org

  • Seating capacity at the Center is 5360 and parking capacity is 2000.

  • Seating is reserved seating (Seating is not first come, first serve)

  • Each student will receive 8 reserved seat tickets and 3 parking passes

  • These 8 tickets will be grouped together

  • Every person regardless of age must have a ticket (per Fire Code)

  • For handicapped seating, contact the Academic Associate Principals secretary, Lori

    Berney at MHS: loriberney@misdmail.org or 682-314-0171 no later than 4/6/18.

  • Tickets will be issued Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the MHS cafeteria during all three lunches.

    o Instructions for acquiring tickets:

    1. Seniors must return iPad with charger/accessories & be cleared of all fines in order to pick up graduation tickets on May 3, 2008.

    2. Students will not be allowed to pick up tickets without a current MHS school ID.

    3. Students not utilizing all tickets are encouraged to return extras to Mrs. Priddys office.

    4. Graduates needing additional tickets should check with classmates for extra tickets.

    5. Students may sign up for extra tickets from May 3 May 11 with Ms. Berney in the Academic Associate Principals office. Signing up for extra tickets does not guarantee that the number of tickets requested will be provided. Extra tickets will be dispersed on May 14 at a place and time to be announced later. The number of extra tickets cannot be determined in advance. Seniors must be cleared of all fines and have a current MHS ID to pick up extra tickets.

    o An overflow room at the Center will be used for a live broadcast of the ceremony for guests without tickets to view the ceremony and then have access to graduates after the ceremony.

On the day of Graduation, May 25, 2018:

  • Seniors, faculty advisors, and administration will meet at the home campus and transportation will be provided to the Center for the ceremony

  • Schedule:

o Students will report to the MHS Cafeteria at 4:00pm on May 25th dressed and ready to go with cap, gown & tassel (Don’t lose tassel – they are $10 to replace) o Transportation will leave the home campus for the Center 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to the graduation start time

o Students will stage in the banquet room at the Center
o Students will prepare to enter the auditorium 10-15 minutes prior to start time
o Transportation will be provided for students that do not have transportation back to their home campus approximately 30-45 minutes after the ceremony

  • Students and faculty advisors will be seated on the stage or partier

  • Guests admission to the Center auditorium will begin 1 hour prior to the graduation start time

  • Students will be expected to dress appropriately for the ceremony

o Specific campus guidelines will be communicated to students.
o Students should leave purses and back packs at home. Items brought in by students must be able to fit in pockets (ex. Cell phone, lip stick); girls may carry a small cross-body purse worn under their gown as long as it doesn’t look bulky.

  • No hired video or photography is allowed in the Center.

  • No flowers, balloons, noise-makers, or air-horns will be allowed in any part of the Center at any time before, during, or after the graduation ceremonies

  • Food and drink will not be allowed in the Center before, during, or after the graduation ceremonies. Graduates need to eat prior to arriving at the MHS cafeteria at 4:00pm.

  • In preparation for the next graduation, students and family members will not be allowed to re-enter the Center after exiting

  • Entrances to the Center parking will be off Main Street and Debbie Lane.

  • Shuttles will be utilized in the parking lot to assist guests to the Center

    Reminder: Construction on Debbie Lane will be ongoing. Please allow yourself more time than usual to accommodate evening traffic and construction delays.

    The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00pm.
