Announcements 8/30-9/2
  • This week Mansfield High School will participate in Start with Hello week. The Start With Hello program brings attention to the growing epidemic of loneliness and social isolation—which often leads to bullying, violence, and depression—and teaches young people how to create a culture of inclusion and connectedness.   As you go through your day, find three people who you do not know and say HELLO to them! As Jackie Chan says, “Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person’s life!”    On Wednesday, wear a t-shirt with a positive message.
  • The National Honor Society is currently collecting canned food for Harvest International, a food bank here in Mansfield.  We are competing against Summit High School to see which school can collect the most cans.  The winning school will be announced at the Black Out Game on Friday, September 3rd.  The class that brings in the most cans will receive a chicken nugget platter from Chick-fil-A for their class.  Please help replenish the shelves in our food bank. Check with your teacher and ask if they will be competing this year.

  • Volleyball needs you to come to cheer them on TONIGHT at MHS. Buy your tickets online on the MISD website at Ticket Spicket. Be loud and BE proud! Let’s go LADY TIGERS!
  • Students, your Start With Hello challenge today is to do one random act of kindness for a teacher, a fellow classmate, or a family member. “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” – Leo Buscaglia    Don’t forget to wear your positive message t-shirt on Wednesday.
