Attention all Sophomores! Class of 2020 shirts are still available for purchase! If you did not get a t-shirt at registration you can still purchase one of the softest t-shirts you will ever own AND support your class! T-shirts are 20 dollars and are located in Mr. Davis’ room, B-11!!!

Student’s don’t forget that this Friday is black out! Buy your black out shirts and your eye blacks for the game at the StuCo store during all lunches. Let’s make sure we black out the pep rally and the stadium!

ONLINE CREDIT RECOVERY WILL BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH FOR ANY STUDENT NEEDING TO MAKE UP A CLASS THEY HAVE NOT PASSED. THIS CREDIT RECOVERY CLASS IS HELD AFTER SCHOOL ON. PLEASE SEE MRS. WIGGINS IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE TO PICK UP AND OCR FORM. 

Hi Tiger Readers!  Please come to the library this week to sign up for a SEMESTER LUNCH PASS.  This pass  will allow you to come to the library without a signed pass from your teacher during your lunch to read, study or work on the computer.  After this Friday, if you do not have a SEMESTER LUNCH PASS, you will need a pass from your teacher to come to the library during lunch!

Seniors!  Did you get an advisory pass from Mrs. Boydstun or Ms. June to decorate your blackout shirt?  Don't forget to go to U-13 to do that today!!

Students – Have you taken the SAT or the ACT yet?

The next SAT is October 7th and the registration deadline is September 8th.

You can take the SAT right here at Mansfield High School so get signed up ASAP.

The next ACT date is October 28th with a registration deadline of September 22nd.

This exam can be taken at Legacy High School.

Thursday September 7th MISD will host a Southeastern Conference Discussion Panel and Meet & Greet at the Mansfield ISD Center for Performing Arts at 7:00 PM.  Representatives from The University of Alabama, Louisiana State University, University of Missouri, University of Arkansas, Mississippi State University, University of South Carolina, University of Georgia, University of Mississippi and Texas A & M University will be available to share information about their school as well as answer student and parent questions.  If you are interested in attending one of these schools, please join us!   

PTA is selling Cookies on Wednesday and Thursday during lunch.

Price is 2 cookies for $1.00

Mansfield AG department would like to invite you to send your Heart out to Harvey victims by donating the following items to the boxes in the cafeteria.

¨ Bottled Water

¨ Dog/Cat Food and Treats

¨ Leashes/Collars

¨ Puppy Pads

¨ New (unused) Blankets

¨ Food/Water Bowls

¨ Puppy Chews

¨ Cat Litter (preferably disposable containers)

Lets help our neighbor out by sending our hearts and supplies to those affected by Harvey.

Dear Mansfield ISD Family:

As you know, our fellow Texans on the Gulf Coast have been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Many, many people are displaced.

Mansfield ISD is partnering with the Salvation Army to assist those in need.

If you would like to help, please donate one or more of the following items:

  • Cases of bottled water
  • Cases of Gatorade
  • Granola bars
  • New Toothbrushes
  • New Toothpaste
  • New and unopened disposable diapers
  • New and unopened disposable baby wipes

Please bring your donations from now until Friday, Sept. 8.

Dress code clarification-If you wear leggings or yoga pants, your shirt must be no SHORTER than five inches above your knee (the same policy for dresses and skirts). 

ID’s are mandatory and must be worn and visible at all times

Football tickets are now onsale.  Bookkeeper can now take cash, check or credit card!   To purchase tickets online, go to the Athletics page to find ticket information (football tickets only).  

Students please “leave it better”.  If you eat lunch and have trash, please pick it up and throw it away.  If you see trash, kindly pick it up and keep MHS clean!

Seniors! We've started a new tradition of decorating our blackout shirts!  Join us and decorate yours, too!!  Swing by Mrs. Boydstun's or Ms. June's room to get an advisory pass so you can decorate your blackout shirt during advisory Wednesday and Thursday in U-13 (Ms. June's room)!

All volleyball teams take on Lake Ridge HS tomorrow night at Mansfield! Come out and support your Lady Tigers!

Ladies, remember that you must wear a t-shirt no shorter than five inches above your knee if you have on leggings or yoga pants as discussed in our orientation and no athletic shorts are permitted.

Cross country ran in the Waxahachie Invitational this morning. Both girls and boys varsity finished 5th with great running from Hannah Allred, Jenisse Williams, Cody Tecklenberg, and Leighton Fast.

Students, you want to get involved here at MHS, well you’ll get your chance! Come check out all the many exciting and interesting clubs and organizations that are available for you to participate in during advisory. There will be a Club Fair on tomorrow during advisory. Ask your advisory teacher to see the list of Clubs/Organizations that are available. We hope you find something you’re interested in so that you can GET INVOLVED!

Attention teachers, please check your email from Mrs. Haygood regarding all the Club Fair information for tomorrow. Please provide the students with the Club & Sponsor List and Map/Locations Chart to help assist them in the Fair.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Haygood ASAP.

Crimestopper tip -  If you have information regarding a 21 speed mountain bike, black and yellow in color, Haro Flight Line, taken from the front foyer of the school bike rack that Mr. Holmes has provided for students, please call  817 469 TIPS…… 

Students - crosswalks are located at Miller and Cannon.  These are the only access for crossing Broad ….Students crossing out of a crosswalk will be cited for Jaywalking…..

Chess Club meets TODAY after school in room U11.  Players of all levels welcome, we can teach you chess. 

Want to join Step Team? You don’t have to have experience to join. Step team is having our first meeting after school Friday in T16.

MHS Tennis would like to invite you to Mooyah tomorrow. Come out and cheer on the Tigers as they play Duncanville, and then head on over to Mooyah.  Tell the clerk you are supporting MHS Tennis, and a portion of your bill will go to help fund MHS Tennis.   Thanks for helping to make MHS Tennis strong!

There will be an NHS meeting in the library Tuesday, tomorrow, at 3:00.

Varsity girls got 2nd in the relay, and varsity boys got 3rd. JV teams also ran well. We had standout performances from our seniors, Max Ramirez, Colby Adler, Jenisse Williams Hannah Allred and Anara Ickes. 

Students, dress code policy will be enforced by all teachers and staff.  Please make sure you follow the guidelines.  No holes above the knee, no spaghetti straps, no crop tops, no yoga pants or leggings, etc.  If you aren’t sure if you can wear something, take a pic and ask your AP in advance.  Students who violate dress code could land in AC and lose exemptions for the semester.

We would like to continue to allow students to eat in the cafeteria hallways, but large amounts of trash are being left on the ground and on the tables.  Please throw away your trash after you eat.  

Students who took TCC classes over the summer, your books are now due.  Drop them off in Mrs. Martinez’s office.  

Students who have outstanding textbooks, you can either turn your book in to remove your fine, or pay your fine immediately if you have lost them.

The Mansfield FFA is having an ice cream social on tonight at 6:30 at the Ron Whitson Barn.

Parking Stickers and rules will be enforced beginning Monday August 21, 2017.  Should you have questions you can contact Officer Godwin and Officer McGraw. The police department is open 24hrs a day 7 days a week to accommodate. 

Students please do not block the doors during school hours

And please make sure you exit the building after school dismisses.  Only students attending tutorials after school are allowed in the building after 3:05

Students who took TCC summer classes, please return your books to Mrs. Martinez’s office ASAP!
